School Meals

The lunch time break is supervised by the mid-day supervisor and supervisory assistants.

The school kitchen serves a choice of meals at the current LA price rate (At the moment a school dinner is £2.20 ) Money for the meals is collected for each week on a Monday. The money should be put in an envelope clearly marked with the child's name and days he/she intends to stay for dinner. Mrs. Robinson the school administration officer, has application forms for free school meals.

You are eligible for free meals if you receive Income Support. Even if you do not wish to take up your free school meals allocation we would be grateful if you applied as it affects the amount of funding that the school is entitled to.

Children are also welcome to bring a packed lunch. In keeping with our healthy school policy we encourage children to bring water to drink and NOT fizzy drinks.  Children should also not bring chocolates or sweets in their packed lunches.

At Mountfield Primary School we believe children should have regular access to drinking water. Children are encouraged to bring water in a bottle to drink throughout the day.
